International Tour de Taiwan Ultra-marathon 2013

The International Tour de Taiwan Ultra-marathon takes place March 30- April 12, 2013 and covers 1100 km in 14 stages, averaging 75 kilometers a day.
Organized by the Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners (CTAU), the route starts from Taipei, clockwise, on roads, passing by almost every county on the island, back to the starting point at Soochow University.
There are 11 one-day races, 2 two-day races and one three- day race, which are basically for local runners, held in conjunction with the main race.

The International Tour de Taiwan Ultra-marathon 2013 has reached the end of the 9th day. This was a 65 km stage which was won by Dutchman Erwin Borrias who now lies 5th overall. The race is led by Inoue Shingo and the womens leader is 黃衍齡 Huang Yan-ling lying 8th overall.

Frenchman Jean-Benoit Jaouen, RD of Transe-Gaule is in 10th position and his website, Yanoo.net is providing daily updates and photos of this first running of the Tour of Taiwan.
